About Far Eastern Broadcasting Company (FEBC)

The Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) is an extradenominational radio ministry enterprise for the sole purpose of taking the Gospel of Christ to the world by radio. In so doing, it seeks to cooperate with and support existing missionary efforts and the ministry of the greater body of Christ worldwide. The FEBC believes that the Gospel radio ministry should present a united and consistent message for edification of others. Cooperation in such an enterprise as this may be achieved and maintained only by loyalty to a common and positive agreement in the broadcast message.

FEBC Australia is a support field member of FEBC International. Since 1962 it has been providing support to the many operational fields of Far East Broadcasting who operate from the God given valuable transmission sites in most favourable locations by:

  • informed prayer
  • locating suitable people willing to go and serve both long and short term and
  • the generous gifts of God's people across the nation.

As with all FEBC bodies FEBC Australia is a faith supported mission. That support is provided from across the spectrum of the Christian church in Australia including St Peters Church, Cooks River.

Chris & Marlene Cooper, Singapore

Chris & Marlene Cooper, SingaporeChris and Marlene, with Sam, Tom, James and Benjamin have moved from Sydney to Singapore in July 2005, where Chris has taken up his new posting with the International Office. They have spent the last six months preparing for this next step.

As well as coordination of frequencies, the new position involves work on the systems and infrastructure of FEBC. Both Chris' engineering and theological training will be well used as he works in the broader activities of FEBC. This will be a challenging move for them all.

As well as her role as full time mum, Marlene will become the "school ma'am" as she home schools the boys for the first few months as least.
