Asia Evangelistic Fellowship International (AEF) founded in 1960
by Dr G.D James, is an indigenous and interdenominational faith mission
dedicated
to the task of evangelism and pioneer missions.
The AEF mobilizes and equips national evangelists and missionaries
in Asian countries to reach out to their own people groups. AEF
believes in co-operating with churches and other missionary agencies
in its
task of evangelising Asia and continually identifies and develops
new ministries, particularly to unreached people groups.
AEF is not a "sending" mission - it recruits, trains
and commissions national workers to carry out pioneer missionary
work
in their own countries in Asia. National workers are generally
more effective in Asia's cultural and religious setting. In some
countries
where doors have been closed to foreign missionaries, this is the
only strategy which works. Currently, AEF has some 200 national
workers in the following countries: Burma (Myanmar), India, Indonesia,
Nepal,
Philippines, Singapore and Hong Kong/China.
