Music has always been part of the experience of God's people when they meet together - from the song of joy and praise to God, sung after the miraculous crossing of the Red Sea, and the defeat of Pharaoh's army in about 1280 BC, to the psalms hymns and spiritual songs mentioned by the Apostle Paul in his letter to Christians at Ephesus Ephesians 5:19 (NIV) in about 62 AD.
We sing with our spirits, but also with our minds 1 Corinthians 14:15 (NIV). The music should excite our hearts but the words must inspire and teach our minds.
Included in our services are hymns and songs both older and very modern, carefully chosen to clarify truth, and inspire and encourage God's people to know and love Him better in 21st century Sydney.
Drama has its place too in vivid teaching, especially in outreach activities, but also in dramatic readings at some services.
